Just a nice guy looking for a nice girl I teach high school computer programming and robotics. I have two kids but only one that lives with me. My daughter is 20 and in college and my son is 18 in his last year of high school. I've only been teaching a few years but switched to that when I became a single dad. I used to be an IT manager in a large company but I needed a schedule that would work well with the kids, they were much younger at the time. Yes, they live with me instead of their mother. I hope that says something good about me... I live in Texas, near Dallas but we are not all cowboys lol. By the way, I've already had several questions, "Howdy" is a Texas thing, it means hello. Say it back and I'll know you read this :) I haven't had very good luck in marriage so far, (or in some cases made bad decisions) but I haven't given up yet. Now that I think I've figured it out I just need to find the right partner. A big part of that "figuring it out" was finally understanding Christianity. I won't bore you with the details here but it's an interesting story. Anyway, I'm not the loud, in your face about it type, I just quietly try to do the right thing. If you are reading this your English is way better than my Korean but I am willing to learn. Here's a few important things about myself that you should know, no reason to waste time if these are issues. - Hopefully you noticed I'm overweight. But if your a Buddhist maybe that's a good thing because I do kind of look like Buddha so maybe you will like that :) - If you really want to have children together that may be an issue. First of all I'm probably too old for that but I've also had a vasectomy so it would be pretty difficult and expense to have a kid of our own. The good part of that is it makes me more open to you already having kids. I'd hate for you to be alone as you get older and if we can't have a kid of our own it would be good if you already had one. My kids are nice and all but I don't think the connection would be the same - I am still trying to figure out the differences in talking to women of different cultures so please be patient. For example if I say something that can be taken in two different ways, and one of those ways upsets you, I mean the other way :)

Hi, my name is Yong-Deuk. No, I do not have western or christian name. I will honorably carry the name that my parents gave me. However, if I must change my name to non Korean one then I would chose "Romeo". If you want to find out the reason behind it then you would have to write me, it would take few pages. If there is definition of "1.5세" in the encyclopedia, they should post my picture in there because I am about as close to the definition. I live in smack middle of Koreatown, LA. And to the eyes of most recently immigrated Koreans, I am too Americanized. In the eyes of most Americans, I am still too much of a Korean. I CAN'T WIN!! I am very sure that many in the KFF site can sympathize with me or experienced similar "tweener" incidents. I would like to say that I am level headed, educated and fun loving but that would sound like everybody in this site. So I will tell you what other people told me to describe me. 1. "adorable" (as if I am a puppy or a kitten). 2. "down to earth and humble" (I don't know if they should be grouped together). 3. "dashingly handsome like Brad Pitt" (no, no, no I am just being silly. Nobody in right mind would tell me that). 4. "imaginative" (I liked that because I strive to be little different). 5. "funny" (elected class clown much to my dismay, I was hoping for best legs, he-he). 6. "hard working" (I work hard and my work ethic is still first generation immigrant). I wrote 5 characterics that describe me positively but it is only fair that I write something that I am not good at or bad habits: 1. I am absolutely bad at anything that is related to computer, 완전콤맹. 2. When I set certain goals, I stopped at nothing although there are times that I should stop. 3. I fall asleep while watching TV and let TV on until next morning. It drives a lot of people crazy. What I like to do? Hmm, I like to read (250 books read in 2003, personal record), watch movies, golf, shopping(don't get wrong ideas) and dance(all kinds). And seasonally, I ski and snowboard in the winter. And backpacking and fly fishing in the summer. Although I haven't traveled much in recent years, I am well traveled and I have infinite desire to learn about new cultures and history. And off the record, I like to go to clubs(only Korean guy that dance sober or no influence from drugs). Person that I admire most: Ghandi. He taught us that with self respect and respect to others can be a potent weapon against violence and other evils of the world. Thank you and congratulations if you read this far down. I know that my profile is pretty long. The good news is that it will be short from now on.
